Members 59morris Posted August 23, 2018 Members Report Posted August 23, 2018 Hi....I just bought an Durkopp Adler 291 and never checked for a bobbin holder, my mistake. The machine is in perfect shape with no visible wear on the important parts. The motor runs like a champ and when I apply air everything works, the only thing I need to start sewing is a bobbin case. Any help would be well received even if they are used. Thanks in advance......Bob Quote

Members 59morris Posted September 6, 2018 Author Members Report Posted September 6, 2018 hi Constabulary ....thanks for the heads up. I have checked them out and I did see a "bobbin cap", I since have found a parts list but it shows a bobbin case and I'm not sure which one I need for my machine now. I went back to where I bought my 291 and all the remaining machines are also missing that part. The seller is only an employee and has no inside information about them. I am leaning towards the cap in the College parts list though. I guess it won't hurt to order the cap and hand operate the machine through a cycle to make sure nothing is going to bind or break before turning on the power. thanks again.....Bob Quote
Members 59morris Posted September 10, 2018 Author Members Report Posted September 10, 2018 Hello again. I did some more research as some members suggested and found a picture of my machine with the bobbin cap in place. I was able to blow it up and read the part numbers. They are 0295 001426 . Today I will call College Sewing and order it along with some bobbins. thanks again for all the help Bob Quote
