LetterT Report post Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) In my experience the phones would often leave the quality of the picture very high (compression low) resulting in large size of the photos. What you need is a separate app for photo editing that can resize the images (and re-compress them). Once you resize the photos to approximately 720p they should still be large enough to fill the screen and small enough to attach them anywhere. For example my phone photos are about 5-6MB each (size limit here is 1.5MB). When I resize them to 960x720 they come down to 0.5MB. bikermutt07 Report post Posted September 9, 2018 I used photo resizer from Google play store when I had my Android. Just reduce them 50%. Can't seem to find that app for Apple.
LatigoAmigo Report post Posted September 10, 2018 (edited) When I email a photo on my IPhone, a dialogue box pops up, allowing me to scale the image to a smaller size. So if you are using an IPhone, it looks like you can shrink the photos by simply sending them to yourself, so there is no need for an app. Edited September 10, 2018 by LatigoAmigo

Clintock Report post Posted September 10, 2018 Image size on iPhone works. Saves all the emailing yourself. Can resize pics and it’s free.
Riem Report post Posted September 10, 2018 I use Snapseed on my android tablet to resize photos for posting here. Slight learning curve, and if you look in its setup settings you can specify the output size of the images. It allows you to reapply the same settings to later photos, saving lots of time. It leaves the original photo intact, and saves the compressed photos in a folder of its own, making it easy to find only the image you want to upload without having to look for the right one among all the photos in your phone's Gallery. Hope it helps.

Bawarrior Report post Posted September 14, 2018 These kits from Tandy Leather are really nice to work with and as you can see you're only restriction is your imagination they work better if you give them the Coat of neat's-foot oil the day before you go to work with them
ScoobyNewbie Report post Posted September 14, 2018 Thank you for that tip. I put neetsfoot on a purse kit before I used EcoFlo water stain “evening blue”. On one piece I water stained first, and on all the others I used neetsfoot oil before to soften the pieces up. ‘The piece that got neetsfoot after is very dark and exactly how I wanted it. A little 6th grade, but pretty good for my first tooling project. I’ll try to get a picture up. the rest of the pieces are still pretty, but they are much more variegated than I wanted. It turned out okay, underwatery and blue, so okay, but is this because I didn’t wait long enough after the neetsfoot oil, or is it because I used a waterstain instead of an oil based dye?
