Members abonnell3D Posted November 14, 2018 Members Report Posted November 14, 2018 Anyone know what this is used for? Edging rig? If so, how does it work? Quote
Members JD62 Posted November 16, 2018 Members Report Posted November 16, 2018 IDK but wondered the same thing Quote
Rockoboy Posted November 27, 2018 Report Posted November 27, 2018 If the thin piece of black steel with the round head bolt is a blade, could it be an early edge skiver? The brass fin on the underside could be clamped in a vice, the adjustment screws could alter pressure on the guides and thereby alter the depth of cut. Leather dragged across the tool, at 90 degrees to the blade, to skive the edge. That's the best I can come up with. Quote
Members JD62 Posted November 28, 2018 Members Report Posted November 28, 2018 That sounds good to me. The part that would be the blade is slotted so the width of cut would be adjustable too. Good call! Quote
Members Sceaden Posted November 29, 2018 Members Report Posted November 29, 2018 Did you just get that on eBay? I think I bid against you out of curiosity as to what the tool was. Quote
Members JD62 Posted December 1, 2018 Members Report Posted December 1, 2018 I saw it but didn't bid. Just curios too Quote
