kids belt

Recommended Posts

Looking for advice. When making a kids one inch belt 21 inches long. Do you do the normal one inch spacing on the belt holes or 3/4 inch spacing.

also 5 or 7 holes. Thanks

For a kid, I'd use no more than 3/4" spacing, and 7 holes with enough billet after the last hole to allow for growth. 5/8" spacing might even work, think of it as spacing as a percentage of total belt length. A little difference in a kids belt will be more as a percentage as compared to an adult belt.

I work in millimeters. 3/4" = 20mm, 5/8" = 16mm. I set my holes at 15mm apart, so roughly your 5/8"

Depending on age of child. For the very young [up to about 6 y/o]  5 holes, a bit older [7 to 12 y/o] 5 for girls and 7 for boys
