First Holster

New to leatherwork. First try at a holster. Made for a friends Ruger BearCat. Had a lot of fun and learned a huge amount. Thanks for all the great tips. I know I've got a LONG way to go...but it's a start.

Obviously it still needs to be formed to the gun......

That colour is great, edges, stitching, pattern. It's all really good. Well done for your 1st.

Thank you both very much. I was more concerned with construction technique than anything else on this one.

I did learn a bit about dying/coloring.. I really had little or no control over the end product. I used Feibings Pro Dye in Lt Brown and Dk Brown and airbrushed the edges with the Dk Brown. The odd markings showed up after it was cased (or what I thought was cased, still trying to get a feel for that as well) for tooling. I thought it was ruined, but it turned out that the mistake just added character. I guess you just get lucky some times. I didn't deglaze before dying and that may have caused it, or the tap water I used caused the reaction. I'm not sure and definitely not sure how to control it, or do it again.

The biggest thing I learned, is that I have a WHOLE LOT to learn. So again, thank you for the feedback.
