Hoyden Report post Posted August 7, 2007 I've been looking for the soles to make boots with. I saw the one in OTB, but they're not what I am looking for. I've started with my five year old because I'd rather screw up with less leather than more. I've made a pattern of her foot and leg with duct tape and made all the pattern pieces. Before I get past the point of too damn stubborn to stop, I'd like to find the soles. I'm looking for blanks that can be cut down
Art Report post Posted August 7, 2007 Hi Hoyden, Call Churchill at Brettuns Villiage and see if he has any sole bends. They are 2X4 foot 8/9 oz bends that are really tough. They are usually about $85 but I think they are on sale for $65. http://www.brettunsvillage.com/leather/sides.htm and search for sole bends. Beaverslayer Report post Posted August 7, 2007 Hoyden, I'm not sure where abouts your located, but here's a place in central Canada that I would imagine would ship to wherever you are. They have a wide variety of soles to chose from...no pricing though. Boot Soles Ken
