Members DASBlacksmith Posted January 25, 2019 Members Report Posted January 25, 2019 I have some antique veg tan leather bags. Legit antique over 100yrs old. It is dry and some has mould inside on the back of the leather. What is the best way to kill/clean the mould off? Before ,slowly oiling the leather to soften it up again? Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted January 25, 2019 Contributing Member Report Posted January 25, 2019 I would wash it down using warm water with detergent soap and a very small about of bleach added Quote
bermudahwin Posted January 25, 2019 Report Posted January 25, 2019 Depending on the amount of mould, I would dab it with vinegar and then tdab it with water. If worse, I would use italic acid. Then dry, and feed. H Quote
