Like they say a picture is worth a thousand words! Go to Smartflix and rent a couple of Leatherworking DVDs. Even if you don't want to make a holster or sheath, you will learn big time! Good Luck! (Well, I've been in this stuff for two years, so I don't guess I qualify as a 100% beginner anymore, but I'm definitely closer to beginnerism than not. Especially as I find out how much more there is to learn.) This forum is great; not only do you get your questions answered by knowledgeable leathercrafters, but you also get to look through other people's questions and find out about things you never would have thought to ask.
