Can somebody please tell me where I find the pressure-lifting eccentric on a Juki Lu 563 and what does it look like.

Thanks.

Could you explain a bit the expected change needed.

Hi Floyd, I am new to restoring sewing machines and after doing my best to repair a Juki LU 563  I found that once I had put everything together, the macine was feeding backwards. Acording to the  the instructions from the U.S navy instruction  book, the problem lies with the pressure-lifting eccentric which needs to be correctly timed. I do not know what the part called  ''pressure-lifting eccentric'' looks like. Can you help?

Thanks,

Benny.

The feed cam you need to adjust is on the lower shaft, the same one that makes the stitch length, but the first thing to check is did you make sure to line the marks on the lower shaft with the take up lever all the way at the top when you installed the timing belt? Also make sure this cam has the screw marked S on the cam is in the slot on the shaft, along with the cam under the feed dog needs to be in slot too.
