Members sjyeager Posted March 14, 2019 Members Report Posted March 14, 2019 Hi, I am currently looking for a sewing machine but I don't know what I'm looking for and I don't have too much money to spend on one either. There is a Singer 111G156 industrial Sewing Machine for sale in my area for $450 and I was wondering if it was a good deal and/or if anyone had experience with the machine and knew if it would hold up to stitching projects like belts, purses or wallets? I would really appreciate some help. Thanks Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted March 14, 2019 Moderator Report Posted March 14, 2019 Yes, that is a standard compound (triple) feed walking foot machine, good for all types of upholstery, belts, wallets, pouches, gabs, etc. It can sew up to 3/8 inch with #138 bonded thread. Quote
Members Jimbob Posted March 19, 2019 Members Report Posted March 19, 2019 I had one and it sews really nicely, 138 thread works fine on top!! Lots of parts available and well build!!Cant go wrong if it is in well taking care of shape!! Quote
