Bubblehead Report post Posted April 13, 2019 I am thinking about dying a set of saddlebags on my Indian. In 2015 Indian went to “bonded” leather. Some call it pleather. My question is, will Fiebings oil dye work? Thanks all.
mikesc Report post Posted April 13, 2019 pleather is Pu Leather..is Polyurethane "leather"..is plastic( sometimes over leather..like some of the LV stuff ( other ersatz leathers are available ) .. But it is "tricked out" to look like what we'd think of as leather..so.. Hope that "bonded leather" does not mean pleather.. If it is pleather..any ( paint ) thing that is used to change the colour of vinyl ( plastic ) shoes would work..
ikewineb Report post Posted May 6, 2019 If it's vinyl, you could just use a vinyl dye. Auto detailers use it to dye seats and carpet. Should be able to find it online or at a professional auto detail supplier. If you find it local, they should be able to match to what you are looking for. Most car dealers use vendors for this sort of stuff. You might could just stop by a dealer and ask who their interior guy is.
