Cantle binding and cheyenne roll

I have made my first saddle already and the sewing of the cantle binding or the cheyenne roll really gave me a hard time and the result of my sewing was really awful. 

I need help on how to do it, I have attached here the pictures of my first saddle which has a close up picture of the cantle binding or the cheyenne roll. 

Any detailed instruction on how to do it would be a great help. I dont have any books around here which has the same set of instructions.
