JLSleather Report post Posted December 15, 2019 paint base color. dip end of sponge or rag in darker second color, then dab on a cloth or scrap of leather to get "most" of the dye out of the sponge wipe the [lightly loaded] sponge down the edge. johnv474 Report post Posted December 16, 2019 This effect can also be achieved relatively easily with an airbrush, spraying dye. One of those compressed air sprayers could likely also work.
