Members Treesner Posted January 17, 2020 Members Report Posted January 17, 2020 hey guys I use Simpson grommets because it's the only rolled stainless I could find tall enough for my needs. Are setters pretty universal to accepting different setters? Is there a 'best press' that most people end up using? this is the one stimpson sells: https://webstore.stimpson.com/405-machine this is the #1 hand setter that I have from them https://webstore.stimpson.com/basic-ss-rr-sw-set-1-mhd1rrgswssbs Quote
Members Bert51 Posted January 17, 2020 Members Report Posted January 17, 2020 I use a of the Chinese hand press and dies to roll my grommets, I use stainless steel SP4 and any problems I have seem to be of my own making. Bert. Quote
Members Treesner Posted February 11, 2020 Author Members Report Posted February 11, 2020 found a good discussion about different presses https://signs101.com/threads/are-all-grommet-machines-created-equal.62495/ Hiker is best - the adjustability of different thickness -comes with base (plastic now) Stimpson is second best Quote
