I've been thinking that one over meself. I'm thinking of going with a beretta 92F/96 (standard military and police issue), colt 1911 (most peeps are big fans of this one) and 1 or 2 of the glocks ((ugh!) for popularity).

I would have to second that motion. Definitely get the 1911.

If you're talking about blue guns, I would say the Springfield 5" 1911a1 C&L, the Glock 17, and the Springfield XD9. They are some of the most popular models, and they can also be used to make holsters for the smaller versions of the same gun if you are familiar with the other guns' dimensions.

The only place I've seen it is at ZacK Whites. but they only stock the Black, Red, Green, and Blue.

It depends on the style of holster you're making.

As to what's available in a dummy gun version, my experience has been that the Springfield XD's, the SIG's, and the 1911's are generally the most popular.
