LomaeArts Report post Posted March 20, 2020 I have acquired two differenct model of ESTO leather and plastic trimmers. I haven't found any information on the web on ESTO products. Thje trimmers need new Cutter (top) blades., while the scorer (bottom) is OK. Having cleaned out many years of grime and dirt, one cuts 6mm heal material real well, the other is way to worn. LomaeArts Report post Posted March 20, 2020 Once cleaned and oiled the basic trimmer 6mm hard heal material quite wheel. I don't have any soft rubbery sole material to try out. The cutter should be 1 to 1.5mm bigger. The good news is the shop I acquired has two others that work reasonably well, so if I can't buy repacement blades, I will get 4 made up. I wonder if a Landis 5in1 owner could make some measurements and take some photos. My unit screws of using 1/2-20 UNF left hand thread. AH HA I never knew that. I still have several of the Esto machines myself including the master finishing machines that I use every day nearly. I think the trimmer in the above picture is called a rough rounder from memory. I have one of those as well and thankfully in a bit better condition. Thanks for sharing. LomaeArts Report post Posted February 24, 2022 I realised I hadn't wrapped this up with a final post. I had two cutter styles made course for thick leather and soles and fine for sole overlay. Initially the majority of our work was sole overlays so I installed the fine cutter. I haven't needed to try the course cutter yet, as the fine cutter goes so well. Tastech Report post Posted August 15, 2023 Second machine weighs about 15KGS The second machine as it is would be worth no more than $300 . But that depends on how sloppy the gears are . Going by the looks of it i would say there is about $1000 in restoration to get it looking better than new and cutting smooth with a new blade .
