Silky Report post Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) Anyone here familiar with this model ? Is it a Consew ... of sorts ? I'd like to know its capacity, and if it has the big bobbin. Thanks for looking. Edited June 24, 2020 by Silky
Constabulary Report post Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) Base model is the Singer 211U which came in a lot of different sub classes. Open the right slide plate and remove the bobbin - is approx 25mm (or larger) its a large bobbin if 22mm its a small (standard) bobbin. These machines usually sew up to 9mm some up to 12mm depending on how it was set up. Best bet is test if before you buy it. Silky Report post Posted June 24, 2020 Thank you Constabulary I may go look at it. It's on a table with a clutch motor. Asking $100.
Gregg From Keystone Sewing Report post Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) Mitsubishi DU-105, old world Japan quality on par with Juki and Seiko. It's actually a really good machine. 135X17 needle, same large bobbin as Juki LU-563, popular Singer walking feet same as 111W155 or Consew 206RB. See attached owners manual. Silky Report post Posted June 25, 2020 Thanks for that Gregg. If I didn't already have a 211G166 I would have gone after it ! But, at $100 it didn't last long and is no longer available I'd really like the larger bobbin. Cheers.
