Members Arturomex Posted July 15, 2020 Members Report Posted July 15, 2020 Wondering if anyone has any experience with Giardini edge paint on oil tan leathers. Planning on applying the dense base coat and then, of course, the paint as per instructions. My concern is about adhesion. Will it stick? Thanks, Arturo Quote
garypl Posted July 15, 2020 Report Posted July 15, 2020 I use Giardini edge paints on many projects and it adheres amazingly well, but I have never tried using it on oil tan. I suggest you test on some samples before applying to your project piece. Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
Members Danne Posted July 16, 2020 Members Report Posted July 16, 2020 For some reason I can't reach Giardini's webshop right now. But they have a product called Adhesion Aid. Quote
Members Arturomex Posted July 16, 2020 Author Members Report Posted July 16, 2020 Thanks for the replies. I appreciate you taking the time. I don't have the base coat in hand yet, Danne and that label close up is a real bonus. Received the paint I ordered but the base coat was short shipped and I'm waiting on an order from another supplier. I want to order some leather and I wanted to know if the paint was going to work. Sent an email to Giardini but with the time difference I haven't received a reply yet. Again, my thanks. Arturo Quote
