Mounting Consew CSM 1000 motor on top!

Looking for info about Consew CSM 1000 servo motor. I would like to mount the motor on top of a table, and remote mount the speed controller under the table ..

Can the speed controller be easily moved off the mounting bracket? I sew mostly under foot power, but occasionally use a motor. I have a dual power rig, but want to get rid of the clutch motor and clear up the drive belt congestion.

Seems like I have seen comments about this somewhere .. but cannot rediscover.

Note: this rig originated when I added treadle power back onto a motorized industrial treadle  and noticed there was just enough space to use both.

Is this what you mean? I've done it with two motors (different brands but same construction). Just unbolt the controller. The limiting factor is the length of the cables.

Hey Dikman .. That is pretty much it.. I have since found several examples of sewing machine motors being used to power other shop equipment.  Happy Day

Yeah, I saw one set up to power a lathe. Nothing wrong with using the motor but it takes a bit of messing around to try and get the speed control so it's workable.

where did you find the large pulleys ?

In my case one was from a second-hand shop that had a lot of tools and stuff and the other was from a junked piece of equipment. I had to fit a sleeve to the spoked one as the shaft hole was too big. I keep my eyes open for used ones as they're pretty expensive to buy here.
