Members tgraytn Posted July 29, 2020 Members Report Posted July 29, 2020 (edited) Hello everyone, I make wallets (all hand cut and stitched) using Horween 3.5 oz leather and would like to line the pocket where you store your dollar bills with a bandana. I was wondering if anyone here has done that and if so what kind / brand of glue did you use? Also, do I need to burnish the flesh side of the leather before gluing the bandana in place? I have attached a picture as a reference. Thanks in advance! Tom Edited July 29, 2020 by tgraytn Forgot to add a sentence. Quote
garypl Posted July 29, 2020 Report Posted July 29, 2020 Get some 3M spray adhesive - easy to apply and works well. Gary Quote

Members johnv474 Posted August 9, 2020 Members Report Posted August 9, 2020 Which Horween leather? It looks like Dublin to me. Chromexcel is not considered cementable. https://www.horween.com/tannages I would use diluted Leathercraft Cement, which is PVA-type glue, because it is water soluble, dries clear, doesn't stink, and is easy to clean up.
