Members BriBel Posted October 20, 2020 Members Report Posted October 20, 2020 Hi, I recently acquired a pfaff 1245 706/47. I was sewing last night & the thread got tangled, I stopped, removed material and cleared thread (from the top & around the bobbin). The machine will not sew. Motor turns on, when pedal depressed nothing happens. The wheel will barely move by hand (I didn’t put too much force as not to break it). I have searched the forums here but can’t seem to figure out what’s going on with my machine. I’ve read they have a safety clutch that will pop when thread binds, but cannot locate it on mine to inspect. I tried to attach pictures but not sure if it will work. Quote
Northmount Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 You probably have thread wrapped around the bobbin basket and shaft. Tom Quote
Members Pintodeluxe Posted October 22, 2020 Members Report Posted October 22, 2020 (edited) Pull the bobbin case out and check for loose threads. Once you get it sorted, remember to hold your threads back when you start to sew! Edited October 22, 2020 by Pintodeluxe Quote
