Long shot! Does anyone know if this tool will put say a 3/16th hole in rule steel? Or where to get the dies to do the same with the arbor press.

I use this style for 2pt. steel rule dye.  mount firmly and hit handle with rubber handle.

For thicker steel I use the big boy a Roper Whitney long arm.

two point rule yes. three point is tough. I have the same one made by Whitney I believe

I'm not getting what you mean. Are you saying the hand held one I listed above won't go through unless you hit it with a mallet?

I'm 76 with good eyes and hands but take the easy way out.  Those punches

don't have a lot of leverage.  They do work good and the dies are durable.  I

would recommend them.  tx lynn

Thanks Lynn. I noticed the spare punches are quite reasonable. Would it be prudent to order a couple when buying?
