Members OrangeMound Posted November 20, 2020 Members Report Posted November 20, 2020 So I just started messing with leather working a few weeks ago and have basically just been practicing. Being a firefighter I decided a good practice piece would be a fire helmet front. So yesterday I cut, tooled, stitched and dyed this for a buddy of mine on Truck 7 in Memphis. My stitching could be cleaned up quite a bit and obviously my lines could be crisper along with better dying. But for a first attempt at making this and for having done this for less than a month, how’d I do? Quote

Members battlemunky Posted November 20, 2020 Members Report Posted November 20, 2020 I can't argue with any of it. It ain't gonna win any contests but it looks just fine. Quote
Members PhilDimashq Posted November 25, 2020 Members Report Posted November 25, 2020 I'd be super proud if I could get a result like yours with my first attempt at tooling. I've been doing practice pieces on scraps and man is it difficult !! This is very impressive for a first go. Congrats Quote
