Members eeroyale Posted December 23, 2020 Members Report Posted December 23, 2020 I recently bought a Singer 150W103 sewing machine for $36 at an auction. Everything seems to be working well, but I know nothing about machines–I've always been a hand stitcher. Does anyone know where you can purchase a user's manual for this machine? I've been able to find some info on-line, but everything is scanned-in and very hard to read. Any help is appreciated. Quote

Members eeroyale Posted December 23, 2020 Author Members Report Posted December 23, 2020 Thanks Wizcrafts! Do you know of any resources that explain how to thread, adjust & operate this machine? I've never used one and am starting from scratch. I ran some leather through the machine and it easily pierces up to 4 oz. leather but I am at a loss as to how to thread it. etc. Thanks! Quote
Members Constabulary Posted December 23, 2020 Members Report Posted December 23, 2020 (edited) In case you do not find a manual - I have attached a Singer 143w ( ZZ machine, yours is a straight stitcher) manual cause your machine has some similarities in terms of top thread tension unit and stitch length adjustment. Looks like even the hook is the same. So you can use 107w / 143w bobbins. I´m not sure but maybe you can even use the 107w / 143 needle plate, feet and feed dogs (haven't studied the 150w parts list yet) Hope it helps If you don´t mind please post some more pictures of your machine (backside, underside...) EDIT: I´m not sure but looks like your needle plate is missing. EDIT II: No - 107w / 143w feed dogs are different.
