Now that is different, i like the pattern i bet it was a pain to dye, you had to be realy carefull the dye diddnt run in to the lines eh

You're right -- that's different, and that's a good thing! I'd classify a lot of the seat pics posted here as "old school," but this one seems like it would fall more into the "state-of-the-art" category! Really amazing. Congrats on what looks to my eyes to be flawless execution.

You did a great job on the quilting pattern. That seat is very cool. Makes me wish I had a motorcycle. Great job.

BTW, how did you do the diamond pattern? Obviously, there's a seeder involved, but the lines... Are they cut with a swivel knife, or grooved, or ...??

Don, you betcha. It was a little time consuming to do the dyeing.

David, this seat is for a sportster.

Abn, I cut the lines with a swivel knife, then beveled both sides of the lines.
