Members abelincoln Posted January 3, 2021 Members Report Posted January 3, 2021 Has anyone successfully done this conversion? My 145 bobbin case is completely worn out to the point of binding up my machine. Since I have to replace it I figured this would be the time to convert to the bigger bobbin setup. I ordered the 545 bobbin case, cap, base and the opener arm thing. Will I need a 545 saddle that it rides on also? I'm not sure where I would even find that. I may have a new 545 bobbin case for sale cheap in the near future. Quote

Members DanishMan Posted January 6, 2021 Members Report Posted January 6, 2021 You have to replace the block, because the 545 block is slightly lower in order to accommodate the larger bobbin. Cheers Søren Quote

Cheers Søren I guess I could just machine it... and hope there isn't some other part that I also need. Quote
