Help identifying cloth puller

I purchased this pfaff 438 that has an added on cloth puller. It is not the pfaff puller but some type of after market. Can anyone tell me what it is/who made it?

Thanks Gregg! Is there any chance that a manual exists for these? I looked em up on the old googs and couldn't find a thing.

The puller is very straight forward, no pun intended, and has no reverse function since it is driven off the flywheel. In sail sewing there's not a lot of need to use reverse to lock a stitch but it does come up. So it would be nice to be able to lift the puller while leaving the foot down. Not sure if anyone has seen a modification to do this. 

And lastly to change stitch length I believe I would adjust the center screw on the flywheel to make the pitman arm more eccentric?

Stitch length, yes you got it.  The way pullers work in almost every case is that they are one way directional.  You can either lift the puller manually and then reverse if the machine can do that.  There are pullers from the factory like Racing that allow you to hook up either electronic solenoid or pneumatic cylinder to automate the process.

Thanks Gregg. I was wondering what a "racing puller" could be until I watched the short video. They confused "racing" with "raising!" The puller raises up to allow back-tacking. Then, it's off to the "races!"
