Pip Posted October 3, 2007 Report Posted October 3, 2007 here goes, made of 4mm veg tan carved lightly with simple design, dyed black (which didn't take to well). What do you think? Quote
Members Rawhide Posted October 4, 2007 Members Report Posted October 4, 2007 Very nice. I would have ran my stitches all the way around the corners though. Hint: when dying products black, first dye them blue, brown, or green, then dye with black. (Blue, may be the preferred) Marlon Quote Marlon
Pip Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 thanks rawhide, I will dye blue next time. First time using a gusset on a project and wasn't quite sure how to do it. I will run round next time and rather than dying myself may buy in some dyed through hide for black projects as this maybe easier. Quote
Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted October 6, 2007 Ambassador Report Posted October 6, 2007 Pip , Next time you have something to dye Black give Fiebeings Oil Dye a try. You will like it. Quote Luke
