Gutridge95 Report post Posted March 1, 2021 I’m looking to buy a 1508 that already has a servo motor but I was wondering if it can been speed reduced even further with a pulley system?
Wizcrafts Report post Posted March 1, 2021 Yes. You have a choice of reducers from 2:1 to 3:1. Some attach to the bottom of the table, on the right edge of the belt slot. Others are box shaped and attach where the motor was attached. The motor is then screwed onto the bottom of the reducer box. You can see pictures of both styles here. sandmanred Report post Posted March 3, 2021 A smaller pulley on the servo and or larger on the handwheel will help too. You can get as small as 45mm pulley for the most common servos. I run a 125 to 130 mm pulley on the hand wheel. When the minimum speed on the servo is 200 rpm that gets me to 60-70 stitches per minute.
