jimi Report post Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) I have a pdf of a newer fortuna which would also apply to your old one in the way of setup and sharpening? if you want, send me your email by private message at the top of the page and i can send you a copy. What kind of feed wheel do you have on at the moment?? rubber, steel or stone? If your bush is worn then i would imagine your knife would have a lot of play/wobble?? does it have a lot of play??normally the lines will disappear when you have it sharpened well, the bevel should be continuous all the way around, and would recommend raising your stone feed wheel up to lightly touch the inside of the bell knife to take off the burrs. If it is the bush then that is obviously a case of replacing it. Edited April 16, 2021 by jimi

DanishMan Report post Posted May 27, 2021 It may also be horizontal oscillations, that requires two nuts at the end of the knife shaft to be tightened. Brgds Søren
leatherman52 Report post Posted March 30, 2022 Any solutions to this? I have the same problem. Vertical lines on the flesh side when skiving. I've sharpened and deburred. My rubber roller feed is parallel with the knife and is clean. Everything seems to be working fine. Any ideas? https://imgur.com/a/RnriYGX
