Gues its because i use them alot. Some lay down fine others not. I don't thin them down unless they get bulky. I use the caps as wells and if starting to get thick put back in bottle and shake. If old I just spray water enough to flow. i do nt thin that its watery and spreads. If it drags and leave spaces like there is oil and paint do not stick. let paint dry and go over again.
