Members Bmwmoa67707 Posted September 5, 2021 Members Report Posted September 5, 2021 I have a Juki 1541S, with a speed reducer. The speed reducer is great, but makes it hard to manually rotate the handwheel. Does anyone know if there is an oversize handwheel available for this machine. Sure would make it easier on my old hands! Thanks, Steve Quote
Members dikman Posted September 5, 2021 Members Report Posted September 5, 2021 I'd be surprised if there's an actual larger handwheel available but one option is to replace the handwheel with a pulley this will also give you slower speeds and more torque. Quote
Members trash treasure Posted September 6, 2021 Members Report Posted September 6, 2021 I did exactly that , on a Singer 111 - This is a 6" Browning sheave, made for a 3L belt, so the belt rides on the outer circumference of the pulley - A lot more comfortable to hand wheel, than a belt riding down in the groove. As long as the machine doesn't have a special shaft end for stitch length adjustment, etc, it could probably be done for most any machine, with a little work. Quote
