Members Byoung Posted October 14, 2007 Members Report Posted October 14, 2007 Well I have finally got them done, with the eceptions of a few rivets to do still yet and finish the belt but I will have that done today, but I have to say for my fist time working with leather and useing a sewing machine I think they look pretty good, to the point I have 3 orders for some. I made the bags from 5/6 oz oil tanned leather, and on all the bags I was able to form what I like to call a bellie to them to give more room ant the bottom of the bag rather than to do just a fold and sew the hems. This took some time and thinking to get it to come together but I hope I will be a selling point for me. So let me know what yall think. Thanks Bert Quote
Roger Posted October 14, 2007 Report Posted October 14, 2007 they look fine to me! should be nice rugged bags. i'm sure once you put some time on them you will know what sort of improvments you may want to make on them Quote
Members Dan Hammons Posted October 14, 2007 Members Report Posted October 14, 2007 They look good to me and I would think that you will be getting orders for some custom ones also. It's hard to find ones that have all the features that diff. trades want . Good Luck ! Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted October 14, 2007 Ambassador Report Posted October 14, 2007 Very nice Bert. That's the same leather I built my first hat out of, same color and evrything. The hat weighed like 12lbs though, and was way to heavy for the head. Ken Quote
