Techsew 5100 and narrow feed plate and dog

Recommended Posts

I would like to confirm that the narrow plate and dog fit perfect. It was a breeze to install with no mods or hastle .  I’m able to get right up beside my needle foot and there is no gap for things to hang up on. I stitched some test runs and all is good.   Thanks Rocky. It should work great on some thinner stuff.

I would like to add, that with this narrow plate the left presser foot now sits on solid plate. With the wide one that comes stock it is only sitting on half the plate and half the slot.  Now it’s a solid hold while the needle is pulling up.keeping the material down. Hell I just got started jackin with it and see the difference.

All good news and thanks for sharing your findings with us all. This last point you mentioned reminded  me I want to come up with a wider side on the feet to help reduce the pressure marks you can get on veg tan leathers. Will let you know how it goes sometime soon. For anyone looking for more info about the narrow needle plate set being shown you can see all about it in this post -
