ideas for toolbag

Recommended Posts

So, i'm making a toolbag right? and i'm trying to come up with some cool ideas that i've never seen. Anyway, my goal was to have the edges butt together instead of flesh to flesh joint. I may be mistaken, but i don't think I have ever seen this stitch before. Anyone else, in all your experience seen this before?

This is just a practice piece. Let me know what you think.

Very nice stitching, it gives a great neat finish.

looks nice, my only concern is that the stitching may wear over the edges and snap. But it does look good, really neat. but I am a real newbie so... I'd wait on someone with more skin years to advise.

I think it looks pretty cool, but I too am concerned about the thread chaffing off. I've used edge to edge joints like this before, but only with lace. I think it makes for an overall cleaner looking joint. You might want to consider burnishing the edges before you sew, or if you want to get really fancy, use a mitered joint to make an even cleaner look.
