John,

I checked out your site. I especially like the boots. However I did notice that your images are huge and take quite a bit of time to load. I enjoy high resolution images when I want to see detail but I'd suggest having thumbnails for quicker page loads. Just my .02 cents as a web designer/developer.

Welcome John. Glad to have you join. I grew up in Irwin and hunted deer not far from your area in the late 50's

:welcome:

Welcome to leatherworker.net, John! Glad to have you here! I'm originally from Washington County Pa. Isn't Blairsville to the east, down the road from Monroeville on the Wm. Penn Hwy.? Hope you enjoy yourself here- there are lots of great people and experienced leatherworkers contributing to the forum, and we're always glad to say "Hi!" to another one!

Regis,

My wife teaches in Irwin. Where abouts did you hunt??

John

John,

Last I was there was probably 1961 and it seems we hunted just off 119 and went in through an apple orchard. Hunting buddy of mine was related to the guy with the apple orchard. But, that's about all I remember. That was the close-to-home place, otherwise, up around Bradford & Waren County.
