stef73433 Report post Posted October 31, 2013 I have some ho leather, 9/10Oz. I want to make some simple one ear head statlls for every day easy riding. Is that to thin to be safe? GrampaJoel Report post Posted November 1, 2013 The leather thickness Should be fine if the leather is in good condition. One ear headstalls are unsafe on snaffle bits. In my opinion. The comments from the others about cover it. One other option is to line your head stall. As of late, I only make head stalls that are lined with latigo.
