Progress

Finally getting some time to work on this second saddle again...New shop is set-up and I have been able to put in some time. Built these hobbles: Tooled this fender: And finished tooling the skirts for this rig as well as got the horn cap 'n' wrap started: We have been doing a fair bit of riding - Built this breast collar for my first saddle too: Really hoping to have this second saddle done for spring! This is especially true of Pirmin Schwegler and the message reaches its particularly harsh relatives - because young Pirmin was only 16 months old when diagnosed with leukemia. "I'm too young to beat the disease, so do not really understand at the time," he said in an exclusive interview. A long and arduous struggle ahead for the child and family, but it w

Well, the last orders are out the door, the shop is closed and I'm packed up to make the trip to Atlanta to spend the holidays with my grand children. Had a good year, got lots of tips from folks here on Leatherworker.net, my wife and I are retired and just "Living the Dream". Gonna go play some music, have some good times, and then get back in the shop and start getting stuff made up for some music festivals this spring followed by my annual trip to Resogat in Wilkesboro, NC. to sell instrumen

Problem With Brand New Adler 205-370

Hello All, I'm new to this forum, and would like to seek some help/guidance from other Adler 205-370. Earlier this year, I purchased one of the last new 205-370 available from Michel Simard in Montreal. From the very beginning, I've had issues with the stitch-length, or should I say the symmetry of the stitch-length in forward vs reverse. I was told it was normal that the machine would not back-stitch in its holes, when adjusting the rotating knob on the lever. To ensure same stitch-length i

By the 1800s, hand-carved scissors were popular in Europe. Scissors are now easily produced and commonly found in most households. As modern technology grows, so do our everyday tools. Now cordless electrical scissors have provided an innovative new technique for an old idea. Cordless scissors come in a sleeker design than regular scissors a

Skiving Machines

Ok, I've been looking for a good skiving machine for a long time. I finally found one, but now I need to get a table and motor for it. Please do not tell me to contact campbell-randall. That's just not going to happen. I don't feel like getting into a long, drawn out discussion about it, so I will not do so here. I have read on here that people have used two separate motors for these machines...one to run the knife at one speed of their choice.....and the other motor to run the feed mechanism
