Hi everybody, my name is Dave Belliveau and I live in New Brunswick, Canada. I began working with leather at the end of March this year. According to family and friends I have made alot of progress in this short period of time but I've still got a long way to go. As of yet I have not started to sell any of my work, but have given small items away to family and friends. I would just like to thank the adminitration of this forum for inviting me to join. From what I've seen posted so far there the members have a lot of information to contribute. I don't have a website so I can't post any pictures. If anybody knows how I can, please let me know. I would like to have some feed…

Just got finished setting my shop up in our new home in Hamburg, PA. We moved from New Castle, DE 2 months ago. It was our toughest move yet, because there was a month between when we settled on our DE home, and when we closed on the home here! That was a month with alot of travel with a toddler and 2 cats Anyhow....my specialty is Celtic art, though my hubby is always pestering me to do more leaves and scrolls. I mostly do leather/wood boxes; but will take orders for wallets, folios, wristbands, etc etc. My website, slightly out of date at this point is http://home.att.net/~wildrosecreations/ My biggest piece yet was a shield for a LARPer (live action role playe…

Hi, my name is Joe Talbott and I live in Pueblo, Colorado. I have been working leather for way over 30 years, and still learning. I belong to the IILG so some of you may run across me there. I am also the president of the Pikes Peak Pounders Leather Guild in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I started doing leather craft after I asked a friend to make a purse for my wife. After he gave me the bill, I decided that I could do just a good a job (and a lot cheaper) and the rest is history. Now all I have to do is improve my computer skills and I will be alright.

Hi everyone, My name is Janel Hendricks. I live in Riverside, Wy. I have been doing leatherwork for just over a year now. I make purses, wallets, horse tack(not saddles) and am willing to try any new leather projects. Every time I make something, even if I have done it before I learn something new. I hope one day to be able to do my leather work as a business. I belong to the Columbine Leather Guild, and IILG also. Thanks, Janel

I am Bruce Johnson, and am seeing a lot of familiar names here. I know some of you by sight, and others through the net. I have attached a picture of me, so if you see someone who looks this, Just say Hi. I have been doing leatherwork as a side business for about 16 years. I have evolved from checkbook covers and personal goods to saddles. I still do about everyting western related, but the saddles are starting to take a bigger share. I pretty much have a part time business that is full time. -Bruce Johnson

Hi folks I'm an older (58) southern gent from the great state of Alabama(Roll Tide). I've been doing the leather thing for about 8 months now. My dad, way back when I was a young teenager, made quite a few leather goods at the mines where he worked. He taught me a few things and I still have his tools. I didn't pay enough attention back then. Over the years I've done few things but didn't really get into it until last fall. It's been a great experience. I like doing larger scenes such as journal covers and such. I've posted a few things on the Show Off site here. Please, any comments, positive or negative, are welcome. I've got a long way to go I think. I like looki…

Hi, My name is Clay Banyai and I live in the badlands of southwestern North Dakota. I have been carving leather as a hobby for about 30 years. I like to try lots of different things with leather but my favorite thing right now it extreme embossed figure carving in the style of Robb Barr and Jan Schoonover. I have taken several classes with Jan in the last couple years and he is a really good teacher and has become a good friend too. I never got a chance to meet Robb, but have gotten to know a couple of his relatives, so have had a chance to see quite a bit of his work in person, and he really had an amazing talent. I started learning to build saddles a couple years ago…

Good day to you all. Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Shawn Zoladz (aka The Major), owner of Major Productions. Currently operating my business on the side, not quite ready to go full time yet. I do many different types and styles of leather work including holsters, biker gear, wallets, purses, belts. My passion is fantasy art on leather and figure carving. But have not had that much time with all the wallets I am making lately. as far as carving goes, I do traditional western, figure, and I am starting to learn sheridan. Look forward to the discussions, and the sharing of the expertise of everyone. Thanks and Happy Tooling . I put a sample of an uncolor…
