  1. Just bought a Techsew SK-5. So no longer needing a skiver machine. 01/19/2025
  2. This is a special sheath, for a collector Buck knife 124. dyed blue lizard to match handle Silver chicago screws to match guard. Special Star snap. Do you think it is to much ?
  3. just the sheath, I have all the knives that I make sheaths for. Or customers send me a knife and I make a sheath to fit their knife, if I do not have it.
  4. This is my piggy back 110 and 119 custom piggy back sheath. sells well.
  5. I just got in some tanned rattlesnake skins. that are not glycerin preserved, you can see the difference. no tack holes, they are perfectly dry, no oil feel , the flesh side is dry and almost white. They lay flat no curl.
  6. Made a couple Sheaths today that fit a Buck 110 folder knife. These are lined inside with soft goatskin, no metal contact with your knife. Coversd outside with real tanned Diamond back rattlesnake skin. Used 2 to 3 ounce veg tan leather. stiched with 277 thread. Takes me about 1 hour to make one. Any thoughts for improvement?
  7. I work a lot with snake skins, the glycerin method is not tanning. It only preserves the skin. True tanning turns the skin to leather. I will not buy glycerin preserved skins for leather work. Hard to glue, and they have a yellow look to them. The skins I get from my supplier are flat and almost white looking on the flesh side. He holds his formula very close. will not tell anybody how he does it. But I am in leather work not tanning business. So best to just buy the skins from him.
  8. Made this pure white Sheath today, with gold snap, chicago screws, and gold stiching. Let me know what you think.

What are tags? What do they do?
  10. Looking to get a techsew SK-5 or Cobra NP-10. My question is can it skive at an angle from 12 oz down to 2 oz in one inch skive. Or do they only skive flat. All the Demos I see show skivers removing leather so you can fold and sew. I want to taper the skive down . If anyone has these machines please let me know before ai spend a couple thousand to find out it does not do what I want.
  11. If you just want leather, look into American Leather Direct. I have a wholesale account. Have had good luck and srvice with them.
  12. Item sold local. thank you for looking.
  13. That is easy. just use 10 to 12 ounce leather, try and get it the same distance as the guard to the blade. Skive this piece about 1 inch down to 2 ounce. This piece is width of the sheath and about 3 inch long. Put your welt on top of it, then put your cover on top of that. This is then put on the back part of the sheath. You now havw a slot that the blade fits in. If you want a picture let me know.
  14. Just made this sheath for a customer. It fits a Randall 14 attack knife. comes with sharping stone and leg tie. has 2 straps to hold knife secure. The blade sits in a raised slot so the guard does not push against the belt loop. Has Brass Chicago screws to make sure it does not come apart at the top and where the guard rest.
  15. Thanks for the advise. I need a heavy duty machine that can do a sloped 1 inch skive. maybe even 240 volt motor. I like to have more than I need rather than maybe not enough power. Could not see your link as it sent me to Facebook. Zukerburg has enough money, I do not want him to have any from me. Do not like him giving to Democrats. Thank you for reply.
  16. Looking for heavy duty good used machine like the Cobra NP-10 or the Techsew SK-5. My use is on leather from 6 to 12 ounce. close to south Florida would be nice.
  17. Some Lizard covered, and Diamond back rattlesnake skin covered. These sell well.
  18. Stright blade knifes need a welt, so the blade does not cut the stiches. Have you ever tried to form the knife into the sheath by weting the leather and placing into a plastic bag then put it in a vacume packer machine , that would draw the leather around the blade and handle. Let dry and you have it formed to the knife. Just my opinion, have formed many sheaths that way
  19. Just thought I would show 1 of many knife sheaths I make. This is for The Buck 110 folder. Alligator on top of veg tan leather, lined inside with soft goatskin. Has special star snap.
  20. I have a Tandy Stich master that I bought new a few years back. Thought I would use it for light weight items. But soon found out that I just wanted to make knife sheaths and hat bands. So I bought a Tec Sew 5100 That I use all the time. The sailrite stich master was only used a few times and it just sits here using up space. Asking 600.00 cash, paid over 1100.00 for it pick up only no shipping. I am in Loxahatchee Florida. near West Palm beach.
