  1. Buckles are sold to a superb list member! Congrats! I still have a pile of stuff on hand, thread(cord), dies (hand/mallet, clicker), Weaver power Edger, the fixin's for a mini-4ft line machine, help me clean up the shop! I'll swap for leather and such! Andy
  2. Howdy all, I am just off the phone with Randy of http://www.randyandclaudia.com/ , he and I have spoken before, SUPERB guy....but gents and gentlebabes, you NEED to see his web page and the inlay work he does. Words do not do it justice!!!! WONDERFUL ART in leather. http://www.randyandclaudia.com/ Humbled, Andy
  3. All, Yet more treasure dug up from the shop! (yeah, I know seems like an "andysleather.com" yard-sale lately! Hey I need the room!) Anyway...a pile of decorative buckles, all smaller stamped brass, brass plated etc etc etc...I don't use these, perhaps you can! $10 plus actual shipping charges. I'll swap for something interesting too! Andy
  4. 48 hours left on the ebay auction....that gives me 24 hours to sell/change/buy it now on the auction! I would LOVE to see this tool go to someone within our little group as opposed to a stranger on ebay. (It's at $280 now, looks like our own Ed<cool satchels!> and some stranger are in a bidding war!) Anyway, pop me an email or PM to haggle/barter/chew me down on price!!!! Andy
  5. All, Yet another treasure from my shop! This is a set of rollers on shafts, an axle runs through the lower one that can be powered via a pulley. Has a set of tension screws/springs. I was going to turn this into a creaser with a little help from my local machine shop/Lathe-guy, but as with all my 4 bagillion projects, I never get to it! (customers keep on interrupting with WORK!) Anyway, I don't need it, perhaps you do, if so, then Swap me something for it! Andy PS it should come apart and be shippable priority flat rate.

    Dies, MUST SELL

All, These came to me from an old shoe repair shop. While they have a bit of surface rust, they are sharp. I dipped them in oil to keep some semblance of corrsion-control. After pondering them for a while, I decided they need a better home than I can give them! Not knowing the value, I'll take a reasonable offer or trades of things I might need (belt dies, holster stuff....whatcha got?) Also shown is a splitter top, I have NO use for it... http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/1126/splitterfc3.jpg
  7. All, I just finished up parting out an line finisher. I am keeping one 4 foot section of shaft with fittings, (mounting it with a spare motor/pulley assembly) this leaves me with a 9-10 foot shaft (the main shaft normally behind the machine) and a front shaft with some accessories and bearing blocks. A little creativity will get you a low budget line machine without the bulk, weight and size! I am willing to trade for leather, tools etc. Whatcha got? Located in NH or VT. Pickup only, too long to ship. Andy
  8. Auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/Edge-Finisher-Burnishe...id=p3286.c0.m14 Andy
  9. Ed, I have NO idea of weight, 20-30 pounds? It has a motor, that is hefty! Base Dimensions: 16" by 14" BUT...the drum sander sticks out a bit making the width 22" +/- a fraction. Andy
  10. Ed, Let me go measure, I sorta did the SAME thing with it when I first got it. BRB with dimensions! Andy PS Call if needed 603-630-4072
  11. Ok guys and gals, One last shot before I Ebay this........ Any takers? Andy
  12. Collins, Sounds interesting, email me please! ( andy@shottist.com ) Andy
  13. Badlove, I run into this "problem" with some of the Greenies from time to time. Explain it like this, sometimes it helps add logic to an emotional issue. "leather is the ultimate recycling, we use the hide from an animal that was dispatched for for food, without using the hide, it would go to waste" or some variant thereof. Without the meat industry, we would have VERY VERY VERY little to work with. A majority of my customer base use my slings in Africa for hunting (and culling). Meat is used but the locals and the hunters. Again this an emotional topic, it is difficult to change peoples minds, so just give them the data to learn what you do and why. Andy
  14. Art, Make me an offer I can't refuse..... Seriously, I need bench space, this is in the way. I would take cash + trades, cash, swap for something I need (which seems to be everything...!) Andy
  15. Ok guys and gals, WHO NEEDS THIS? (I need to get rid of it asap!) Andy
  16. All, I am looking for the website/contact info for a gent whom I spoke with, I think I met him here. Near Niagra Falls (I think) perhaps Toronto, likes old pearsons, leather machines etc. Any clues on who this is? Thanks Andy
  17. Az, I have the Rotary Punch, its a Randal R74 (I think, maybe 76...) contact Randall direct. I LOVE mine. (if you are in NH/VT, come try it!) The edger they offer is nice, I like it. Not perfect but it saves time. I use a Morpan Strap cutter for my belts/slings. Works AWESOME! Andy
  18. Thanks to all who helped with the line machine fittings, after 12 cans of WD 40 and some hammering with a rubber mallet, it WORKS! FYI: I have a pile of shafts and pulleys and bearings from the Landis line machine that need a home, if you are in New England and want this stuff, TELL ME! I can show you how I made a mini-line machine for my holsters out of part of this pile of goodies! Andy
  19. All, This is one of the sanders, and I cannot figure out how to loosen the assembly to slide it off the shaft. HELP!
  20. All, Once again I am pondering a #9, can anyone tell me what it would that my Adler 205 won't? Thanks, Andy
  21. All, I just picked up a Landis Line Machine and am in need of some assistance to take some of the peices off of it for new blades, replacement etc. First is the Cutter blades, I'll try to attach a photo. While it has a screw in the middle, I cannot get it to budge. If you have one of these machines, PLEASE contact me I need to pick your brain. I need a blade or two as well for this cutter attachement, something to make half-round edges..whatcha got?? Used is FINE! Second is the line finisher, I have a few of the rollers and such off the main shafts but cannot get some of the sanders to budge, yep I soaked them in WD40 and such, screws are removed, they WONT move. Thoughts??? Thanks much! Andy PS my Weaver Edger is for sale in the marketplace section here! PHOTO OF LANDIS:

    Leather Supplier WOW!

See I told ya..... I have not had such good leather and service since....uh...er.... I have NEVER had it till now! Andy
  23. All, This is the Edger as made/sold by Weaver, electric, used only for edges on one my holsters (the natural one) has the wood on one side and codura on the other. Spins over pretty darn quick and does a nice job. Has the drum sanders attachment too and comes with a few grits of sanding drums. I put up a plexi sheild to keep the dust from the motor and added some oil cups to the bearings to keep them nice and looooooooooooobed. I paid something like 400-450 plus silly shipping to get it. Swaps? Offers? Trades???? Located in NH/VT Email me direct for a photo, I can't seem to upload. andy@shottist.com Thanks, Andy
