nicely done!! -
Thanks Country, the english bridle leather is much more supple than veg tanned, so it is easier to maninpulate. not having to put color or finish on it yourself saves time and assures uniform color fro the drum dying process. as far as wet molding, i don't wet mold it. english bridle does not accept water well and it can darken the leather and make it blotchy. it is so soft anyways that you don't need to wet mold it for briefcases. What Am I Doing Wrong.
troop replied to silentghost's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
what Particle said is correct. quality leather makes a big difference. also 7/8 may be too thick to get real detailed moulding. try a 6/7 first and see how that works for you. Tony -
What Is This Style Called?
troop replied to PutnamLeather's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
looks to be an "in the waistband" style. the holster sits inside the waistband and those two straps wrap over and around the belt to hold the holster in place when you draw the gun. don't know, however how comfortable a kydex holster would be in the waistband. Tony -
