  1. I am a classic car lover and i thought that was pretty cool. I think my 56 would look pretty cool all done up in leather.
  2. thanks for your suggestions. She wants just a basic halter but would prefer a leather one of a nylon one. She doesn't show him he is strictly for company. she does want to teach him to pull a buggy. So she is also hinting for me to make him a harness too. But thanks again i will do some research.
  3. Hi everyone. My sister has recently purchased a miniture horse and she was wondering if I could make her a halter for him. I have never done this before but would love to give it a try. Could anyone point me in the right direction on some good resources on Halter making . if i can tackle that the next project is making him a harness. I have been very interested in making horse tack just haven't had the incentive till now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  4. The mr max's works better than natures miracle. it cost about $11 plus shipping for a pint, and around $19 for a quart
  5. okay this is going to sound funny but i was told of this product by a friend that worked at a vet. My carpet was soaked from my cat peeing on it for a month while my husband was in the hospital and my house sitters bought the wrong cat litter. but anyway. it is called Mr. Max's anti icky poo. the website is http://www.catfaeries.com The stuff does work but you do have to follow the intructions, I don't know what it would do to the boots but i say its worth a shot, since they are pretty much ruined, but it has to stay on there wet for a few days until the smell is gone. you have to keep reappling. keeping it wet is what helps the stuff to break down the urine. I keep the stuff in my house it works great on all kinds of stains, even blood.

  18. I make photo books, and i have had a very hard time finding anyone (even online) to sell just the 3 ring binder. Tandy use to sell them but don't anymore, they just have the kit. So i just take a part a cheap binder from the store and use the binder from it. I reattach the binder to my book with chicago screws. I have never actually covered the folder itself. I just use a stiffener in between the leather. Since i am making them into photobooks i run into the folders not being long enough for the photo pages that i buy. So i have to come up with a different measurement. I've had my book for about 3 to 4 years and it is holding up perfectly. If anyone out there knows of any place that sells just the binder please let me know.
  19. Sounds like fun. count me in

  22. Hi everyone. I am fairly new on here and was hoping someone out there could help me. I am new to leather crafting, and i have recently begun doing leather sculpting. So far what i have done is make a leather basket with leather flower, pinecones and holy, but i was asked if i could make a pitcher and basin made out of leather. I'm not quite sure how to go about this, especially with the pitcher. It only needs to be a simple plain set; to look like plain clay pottery. It is for a church and it is wanted for what it represents and to be just set out for display. i have a picture attached of a basic style i am looking to do. i'm sure it will have to have seams and if so is there a way to hide them so they are not so noticable. And also i know that the leather stiffens on its own as you wet it and let it dry but is there anything i should apply to the leather to give it some extra striffness to help keep its shape any advice would be greatly apprecitated. I do have to say i am glad i have stumbled upon this site i have learned so much from all of you. Thank you Dawn
