Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy any Sheridan Style Carving books or dvd's that anyone has on their hands that they would like to get rid of! I was actually looking towards the Jeremiah Watts collection, any of the Chan Geer pieces, and also the Sheridan Style Carving book by Bob Likewise. Also, I was looking to find the Dusty Johnson Chap Making video. Thanks to everyone in advance!

Hello there! I hated to bother you sir, but I was wondering if you ever put together a set of photos or a set of instructions for rodeo chaps?
Have a Blessed Day!

Hello everyone! I went to my local Tandy, (100 miles away), looking to buy a few things. While I was there, I wanted to pick up the "Money Clipper Wallet Pattern". My brother has been on my tail about making him one, so I thought it was about time! Well, needless to say Tandy was out, and said that they did not know if they would be recieving any more in the near future. I would love to buy a copy of the pattern if anyone happens to have one and wouldn't mind sharing a copy! Also, does anyone know of a place where I could possibly pick up the money clip hardware itself for the wallet, please let me know! Thanks and may you all have a Blessed day!

Hello everyone! I have been working with leather for a year now in August! I have made many belts, knife and shear sheaths, wallets, etc. I have been handsewing everything with a sewing awl and thread. All of my stitching has become a lot more clean, and I am very happy with it. BUT, it is very time consuming! So now is the time for an upgrade! I'm looking to buy the right leather sewing machine for my needs. I have been looking at the Tippman Boss handstitcher, which seems to be a wonderful piece. I have also been looking at many walking foot machines, but I don't know much about any of them. The only sewing machine I have ever sewn on was for material, so I'm a newbie at the leather machines! I'm wanting to spend somewhere around 1000, maybe somewhat more if I find something special! I would appreciate anyone's input and opinion on what I should look at and what all you fellow leather workers have had success with! Take care and have a Blessed Day!

Hello everyone! I have been searching for a great way to make rodeo chaps. I drool every time I see Elton Joorisity's new creations! I have been building belts, bracelets, purses, etc for the past year and want to dive into making chaps. Does anyone know of a great tutorial, guide, or instructions on how to go about making rodeo chaps. If not, would anyone be interested in making some instructions and selling them at whatever cost? I am VERY serious about getting instructions, because I want to go about it the right way right off the bat! I want to make myself a pair, and just be able to start a new craft! If anyone knows a good instruction or would be interested in selling instructions, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you all and have a Blessed Day!

Yeah I had looked there and they had a couple, but nothing really in the area of these. BUT, I did find some others I liked there!

Hello everyone! Does anyone happen to know where I can get conchos at a lower price than what I have found. I am looking for some, such as these that I have attached that are black background with the crystals in them. I know that Tandy has a couple, but none like these. These are a tad bit overpriced, ($20), but I think there has bound to be a site cheaper with similar conchos! I would appreciate it if someone knew and would let me in on where they have found these! Thank you all in advance!

Wow! Thank you all for the replies! I havent been on in a few days, this semester of college hasbeen crazy once again! I'm going to start two filigree belts for a buddy of mine, so this helps so much! Thank you!

Hey all! I have been trying to make a few belts, so far I have accoplished the feat of making two! They both look really great, but I'm having trouble with filigreeing the tooling leather. I have been trying to use an Xacto knife, which doesnt seem to be sharp enough. I also tried using ast raight edge blade, like a box cutter type of knife, but neither seem to work very well. If anyone has a suggestion on what I should you I would greatly appreciate it!I'm trying to put a colored leather behind the tooling, but it is just driving me crazy because I cannot figure out the best way to do it! Thanks McKotah

Hello everyone! This is my first post here, but I guess you could consider me a "creeper" as I have been searching these forums for a good while now. Im new at leather working and need some assistance if someone wouldnt mind giving me a hand! I finished my first pair of chap yokes for myself. The carving turned out excellent, I felt, for my first time at it. But, the dye/staining was WAY off! I bought some "all in one" eco-flo from tandy leather and I was trying to get a light dye/stain look but they turned out very dark! I also wanted black around the edges, but after all the work I done it just bled into the brown dye. I looked a a few pics of a member here, and I would love to have the same effect on mine as these. Im going to attach the photos of the results I am wanting. Could someone PLEASE explain to me step by step on how I could go about this. Gosh, I'm just totally lost Thanks and may God Bless!

These look wonderful! Would you mind letting us know what your process was on your yokes? Thanks!

Hello All! New member here! My name is McKotah and I'm from Oklahoma. I'm 20 and new at leather work, but I'm THRILLED to get into it. I'm mainly wanting to work with chaps, belts, wallets, etc. but hopefully later on try and tackle some custom boots, which will be a LONG time away I assume haha! I have been interested in leather work all of my life but habe jusdt now ventured into it. I made my first paid of chap yokes yesterday. The tooling was pretty good for my first time, but my stain/dyeing, was WAY OFF! It was way too dark and bled. I used all in one from eco-flo, and I figured out quickly that was not what I needed! Could someone please give me a little insight on the staining/finishing end of it! Thanks and it is so great to be here! God Bless!
