It says "Marking Outfit For Stamping Leather" on the top of the box. It looks pretty old. I am not sure where it came from but it was given to me this evening.

Ladies Purse
Higgy replied to Higgy's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Thanks! I made it for a lady that has bought another purse from me. She wanted me to extend the strap at the top to go over the flap and down into the back pocket. It will be an easy revision. Same idea but a little more strap. -
I just finished this purse tonight. I had to come up with something different for the front closure.

It is a little thicker than what I usually use and was slower hand sewing parts. The gusset was not cooperative around the corners and I had to resew a couple of areas.

It is from Tandy. I got it over a year ago from the scrap bin. Thanks for the comment!

Here is a satchel that can be reconfigured to wear as a backpack. It is made of a little thicker leather than I usually use.

I think it is about 8 or 9 oz. Thanks Thanks! He did. He watched me make it last night.

This computer bag is a similar design to a lot of the other bags I have made.

Thank you!

This is meant to be an alternative for a female to wearing one of those fannie packs. It can also be carried as a small purse using the "D" rings on the side.
-
Good advice, I will remember that next time.

This is my first try at a pocket holster. A guy at work asked me to make a holster for his handgun.

I visited your site - great stuff!

Thanks - It is 12 x 18 with an 8 inch gusset. thanks - it helps keep the flap straight. Thank you!

It is chrome tanned about 6 or 7 oz. with a liner of suede split about 4 or 5 oz. I oiled it with Neatsfoot oil to finish it.

This is my first try on a bag this large and complicated. It had to evolve as I went. The next one will be a little different - better I think. This the first time I have tried Gum Tragacanth on the edges. I like it! I used Neatsfoot oil on the outside to finish it.

This is a bag to hold your shaving cream, razor, shampoo etc. It is tall enough to hold your stuff if you have a lot and can roll up to be more compact if you carry less.

I just finished another satchel - same design as the last one, but with brass hardware and a slightly different front strap. It is still a little damp in places from the treatment I put on it when I finished.
