This one is made of 6 oz outer and lined with 1 oz. The 6 oz is difficult to work at this size. It caused some extreme finger strain to hold this in place while sewing.© © leatherworker.net

This satchel is about 11 inches square. Inside pockets and lining are made of 3 oz leather and outer is made of 6 oz. This is the first one of this size I have made. This would be a perfect size for carrying a netbook computer or a Kindle reader.© © leatherworker.net

I am new to Leatherworker.net and am very happy to find a group of people that are as passionate about leather working as I am. It is a hobby for me right now so I don't have as much time as I would like to devote to my projects. I recently purchase a Tippmann Aerostitch which I love so far. It powers through about anything I throw at it. I have been using a Consew 260 for about six months which will now handle medium duty projects. I started making journals and have progressed to bags. I am steadily making larger items and hope to get to overnight bags soon. My favorite site for bags is www.saddlebackleather.com. I hope to learn and contribute to this great site.

Is there a guild or association of leather workers that has a group health insurance available?
