They look really nice...just try to cut down on the nickle fittings.....

Nice work...but maybe you should post this in the main critique section to take advantage of the serious advise that is available from pro carvers....front portraits are sooooooo hard to get right!

Hi Jerry, I too am a noob and was inspired by the people on this site to get some tools together last Christmas and give it a go...still haven't done as much as i'd like but work gets in the way!! Anyhoo, good luck to you and it sounds like you are doing the right thing by mastering the swivel knife and learning from the tutorials...the Paul Burnett's tutorials are superb...

That is beautiful colouring....How do you get that vibrant variety of colours...I guess it's not painted but dyed in stages using a blocking seal?? Very tidy carving too! Me like it! -
Some carvings I've done so far....wish I had more time to learn complicated projects but these are fun to do when I get the chance.
