  3. Hi all, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. I've been working with Fiebings blue oil dye and no matter what I seem to do I always get a red hue, when I apply resolene the red becomes even more visable. I've tried spirit dye too and get the same problem. I've tried applying to damp leather, dry leather, adding light coats, thick coats, nothing seems to make a difference. I don't have this problem with any other colours, any idea's what I'm doing wrong??? Cheers, Cj
  4. Thanks Charlie, I've had one of these in my shopping basket before and then took it out again! If you've had success with it I may give it a try. Thanks, I'll do some price comparisons!
  5. Hi, I make small items, keyrings, jewellery, bookmarks etc. As these are quite flexible I'm using resolene as a finish. This works fine on dye, but trying to apply with a damp sponge over stain I end up dragging off the colour. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks! cj
  6. Very interesting, I would never have considered sharpies and markers. They give a very good effect! What finish do you use? cj
  7. Thanks for the welcome I'll sort out some photos, but I'd better warn you my stuff is very simple, and mostly for the ladies! cj
  8. Hello, I'm CJ from the UK. I handmake leather gifts and jewellery as a 'hobby business'! I'm still learning though and hoping to increase the range of things I can make. Looking forward to chatting to other leather crafters! cj
