Was wondering if anyone knows if a Beretta Cheetah is close in size to any other gun. I need to make a holster for this gun and I don't see any molds for sale. Thank you in advance.

Hi 25B, We may not be on the same page. I have a lot of pull the dot caps. Not sure that's the correct name because I have heard numerous names for the part that has the pull the dot printing on them. I looked at mine thinking I lost my mind and didn't see the mark your talking about. None of mine have a mark on them. I was at a fellow saddle maker who uses these and he has a die that the cap fits in and when you press the corresponding part to the cap it puts a small dimple on the top of the cap. I looked at his die and on the inside is a small pimple that marks the cap. I just purchased a sizable order with Index and they have the die and Ohio Travel bag has it also. If the above information has flaws in it please educate me. Thank you, and also I appreciate your feedback. Don't ask questions you never learn.

Looking for a reasonably priced die to dimple the button. The ones I have seen are between 150 and 180. Hard to digest that price. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Good Snap Setter?
longtooth replied to Red Cent's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I made a arbor press that I use for multiple applications. Takes up more space than the ones pictured but it works for me. Also, I have a question on snaps I make holsters where I have to use a 8/32 screw to hold the male part on the leather what I'm finding is the opening on the snaps don't let the screw set down deep enough causing the snap not to close properly. The lift a dot snap works perfectly but only able to purchase in the nickle finish. I need or should say like to use black. Any ideas greatly appreciated. -
Being a little plumb around the waist. I decided to make a half leather and half kydex holster to fit inside the waist band. Not uncomfortable to wear and the mouth of the holster stays open.

Stitching Exotics To Liner Leather
longtooth replied to Modad2010's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I glue mind to the flesh side and treat the exotic no different than the regular veg tan leather. I made this for myself to carry my M&P 45. -
I made a slight error. I have been working with the exotics and this holster is Elephant. Sorry. The holster is stitched on a Juki 2000 pro. If you take a close look it's for a lefty. I made this holster for myself and wanted something different.

Shotgun Slide.
longtooth replied to longtooth's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have made some belts that was cut on the curve and this automatically pushes the shells away from the body. Evil Roy and Holy Terror had these belts. If I recollect Sass had some conversation in regard to those belts. My belt that I use is not cut on the bias and from use if conforms to your body and has a curve in it. I'm not sure what the current rules are I will have to check. This shooter goes to all the major matches and I have not heard of him having a problem. The original slide I made was only for six shells. He wanted one to hold 12. I guess everyone is pushing the envelope with the holsters, guns and the belts. -
Shotgun Slide.

It's a true slide. Under the slide sewn to the belt is piece off leather about 3/4 inch thick that forces the shells away from the body. I didn't make the belt. -
I know this is for holsters but I thought the cowboy action shooters would like to see a slide I made for a real cowboy gamer. Laughing.
-
Shooter, this one was easy to mold and assemble.

Customer just purchased this LCP 380. He's one of the first to receive his Ill. conceal carry permit and wanted a outside the waist band holster.

New Gun Belts Completed
longtooth replied to IngleGunLeather's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Very nice looking belt. Question, is that a modified number five buckle? -
Catchndreams, Thank you for the response. Would you be kind enough to send a picture of the receiver. I have other unknown dies that I didn't post. Possibly I have the receiver.
-
Thanks for the reply Dwight. I try and send additional pictures.

Does anyone have a clue what these dies are used for. I think setting spots but not sure. The company that made them is out of business so information on them is not available.
