  8. But the layers will never cease to exsist...compassion is something (for most) is bred into us. To many times in my life, I would pray, that it would just be taken away from me. You could do the worst of the worst to me, and I can't seem to turn away from forgiveness (drive me crazy sometimes)...by the way, nice to meet you and welcome aboard. Very respectable people on our site = ) keep in...

  9. Thank you, your comments are always appreciated..= )

  12. Hello Everyone, I just purchased a used Singer 236 w 100. I was able to download the manual online, but does ANYONE know anything about this machine? Is this something that can assist me with my leather work? I just had it serviced with new belts, the the gentleman that serviced my machine really didn't know too much about it. I order some 128 x 3 size 16 and 128 x 13 size 16 needles on Ebay (I hope those are the correct size) I guess what I want to know is, can this machine use the heavy nylon thick thread, I believe it is a size 204 or 270 (please bare with me, I am still very new to this as far as sewing machines..think about this, I purchased a bar tack machine in an auction thinking it was a cylinder arm machine, that I am stuck with) if so, what size needle would I use, and what would be the correct size of thread. I really like the look of the thick thread that you would see on commercial leather pouches or the stitching on shoes. I feel I sound foolish, but can somebody HELP ME!! Your input is GREATLY APPRECIATED. CeCe
  13. I ABSOLUTELY Love THIS!!! It's exquisite, did you carve that yourself, what I mean, is that your own image, or stencil? It doesn't matter, it's beautiful...

Remember, I suck at tracing, so I had to free hand draw the iron cross, so if it looks a little off, that's why

I'll save the dramatic intro only because I wasted too much time on my last album intro's only to find out that you guys can't even read it. This is a pouch I finish last night for a Lineman that works for Henkles and McCoy. He is really into skulls (like me) so I scored about 40 of these skull concho's at some storage unit sale for $5 (I do get lucky sometimes)

    The more Artsy side..

Ok, so I must me completely backwards, (told you I'm a little eccentric) just to let you know, I love nature, to me nature is nurturing, no, I'm not a tree huger or anything, but I have respect for those who are, I love gardening, flowers, just nature. So I have a ton of stencils, and bottom line.....I SUCK AT STENCILS, nothing lines up for me..NOTHING, so I gave up stencils, took pictures of flowers around our property and copied the pictures best I can free handed...

I know I really need to work on my whole "Walking technique", that's my signature in the corner...lol..I used the Tandy paints, watered down for a less intense color, I also bought some cheaper metallic water colors from Micheal's and mixed them together for the coloring..

    My Leather work....

OK, please be kind, this is still new to me. And yes, I have signed up many of many of times for FREE classes with Jorge at Tandy, and request front seating, he is sure to see that seat, EMPTY every time. So I pretty much taught myself, trial and error, and I understand that there are many entities of "Leather Working" (don't you just LOVE IT) and my curiosity has only led me to attempt the techniques so that one day, I may, label myself, a true........"Leather Craftsmen" I know, I'm cheesy, huh! Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated, I'm not sensitive when it comes to something I want to be good at.
